Its 13,300 maximum towing capacity is hundreds of pounds more than comparable models. In fact, even the lowest-level trim option with a turbocharged 4-cylinder model can tow up to 9,500 pounds.
Technology
No upgrades are necessary to enjoy the latest technology in your Silverado 1500. The lowest trim level Work Truck offers a six-speaker audio system and an infotainment system with a 7-inch color touchscreen. It has the capability for wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The instrument panel holds two USB ports, both for data and charging. Three years of remote access allow you to start or stop your truck, control locks, and more with a smartphone.
Bluetooth 2 with voice command and audio streaming for two active devices is also standard, allowing you to pair your mobile device to the vehicle’s infotainment system. You can even save your phone’s contact list to the infotainment system to quickly place and receive hands-free phone calls using the touchscreen display or voice command system. You’ll also be able to listen to your favorite playlists, podcasts, and audiobooks stored on your phone or other digital media devices with Bluetooth capability.
